"No matter what our resources, our goodwill, and our determination to act, we cannot save our planet unless we take on board this essential requirement (working altogether without letting anyone fall by wayside", H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco
"The eco-communication, in fact, is not an activity taken for granted but it implies professional training and responsibility. Words, sounds, images, voices, signs and any other form of communication interact with each other presenting a polyphonic language of the Environment", stated Maurizio Abbati (editor of MonacoECOART) on the 21st June 2018 at Novotel Monte-Carlo within the preview presentation of his book addressed to an international delegation of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F), led by H.E. Bernard Fautrier, former Vice-President of PA2F and to H.E. Cristiano Gallo, Ambassador of Italy to the Principality.

That was just the initial step of a new multidisciplinary approach based on the manual: “Communicating the Environment to Save the Planet – A journey into Eco-communication”, edited by Springer Nature International Publishing in his English version. The manual sees the participation of numerous professionals, interviewed by the author in one-to-one rendezvous and it is introduced by distinguished figures. Notably, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, President of His Foundation expressed significant words underlining how important is to take action through various communication techniques to have a real impact on the society. "No matter what our resources, our goodwill, and our determination to act, we cannot save our planet unless we take on board this essential requirement (working altogether without letting anyone fall by wayside", highlighted the Sovereign Prince.

The role of Media, Journalism, Social Media, Information and Communication Technologies, together with Green & Circular Economy, Public Administration, Social-Economic & Legal matters Art, Design, Architecture, Cinema can play a relevant role in encouraging citizens to make sustainable choices and being more environmentally friendly. This is a goal that is reached through concrete actions as witnessed by numerous case studies included in the book.
But all forms of human creativity can be efficiently catalysed to the natural cause for the benefit of the whole ecosystem we share with other living beings to which we are inextricably linked. And Music, celebrated every 21st June at European level, is capable of arousing deep feelings related to Nature, as the extraordinary exhibition of 'The Moldau' by the Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, interpreted by the Canadian harpist Valérie Milot projected at the end of the event on her will.
Then, the academic-casuistic approach of Communicating the Environment to Save the Planet the author has chosen, makes it a communication tool and an 'open platform' ready to enter into dialogue with the readers, being educational, informative and scientific at the same time. Knowledge must always be kept alive like a lifeblood, a spring of water for life as masterfully represented by the valuable timbered piece of art by Antonio Salinari, who celebrated the book launch. ***
