📍 17th April 2024

The Principality of Monaco has strengthened diplomatic relations with the Commonwealth of The Bahamas following up the signing of a joint mutual announcement by the two States' Representatives to the United Nations in New York, H.E. Stan Smith and H.E. Isabelle Picco. The partnership is significant considering that the tropical island, part of the Lucayen archipelago of the Caribbean (member of the United Nations since 1973), is particularly vulnerable to the extreme effects of climate change, notably exposed to hurricanes.

The interstate reaffirmed synergy will empower joint projects grounded on sustainable developmen, ocean conservation and the promotion of the highest values of sport.
