The Green Shift Festival is coming back to Larvotto to explore a new ecology.

Updated: Jul 31

An interactive event created to develop ecological action is back to Monaco for its second edition. The Green Shift Festival by the will of Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation was launched in 2023 to develop imaginaries towards a redefinition of ecology. The summer-like initiative will take place from the 5th to the 7th June 2024, from 6:00 p.m. onwards at Place Anne-Marie Campora, part of the most popular Promenade du Larvotto in Monaco. The project comes from the partnership with Monaco Directorate of Cultural Affairs, the Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco (Philosophical Meetings of Monaco), the Nouveau Musée Na,onal de Monaco (New National Museum of Monaco), the Mairie de Monaco (City of Monaco) and the municipal media library, Shibuya International, Carmignac Foundation, Actes Sud, Imagine 2050, Time for the Ocean, the Académie monégasque de la mer (Monegasque Academy of the Sea), SOGEDA and WE DEMAIN as the media partner.

The program of 2024 is enriched with morning sessions of yoga and meditation by Kate Powers Foundation to facilitate the reconnection with Nature and evening meetings with anthropologists, journalists, artists, film directors, shamans, welfare influencers and foundations on the culture of tomorrow.

Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) is strongly convinced that raising eco-awareness develops through a multidisciplinary process involving science, art and culture. Olivier Wenden, CEO and Vice-President of PA2F stressed: « By encouraging new ecological storytelling, we can transform the way we view and interact with our environment. Since its creation, various initiatives implemented by the Fondation have been therefore meant to promote field projects and major international events, towards the promotion of a more harmonious, just and responsible balance between human communities and their environment ».

The Green Shift Festival addresses the general public to build up inspiring evenings full of good vibes to put ecology on the spotlight in our lifestyles and increase responsible social values.

The three-day set of meetings set around three main themes: « Se (re)connecter au vivant » (To (re)connect to the living), « Imaginaires de la mer » (Imaginaries of the sea) and « Écologie & Pop culture » (Ecology & Pop culture) with the aim to offer food for thought to redefine our relationship with Nature.

A kaleidoscopic programme will push visitors to approach to the ancestral heritage via a unique path between ecology and pop culture to the sound of various notes, from manga & anime to human creativity in all its shades.
